Our club will be hosting a USFS sanctioned competition scheduled for May 22, 2010.  Watch for sign-up sheets and announcements to be posted on the Club Bulletin Board at the rink.  Competition Chairperson: Katherine Ruch.

CONGRATULATIONS:

Jordan Vescio for competing in the MLK competition on Mon the 19th. This is always a tough competition, but Jordan pulled out a 3rd, 4th, and 5th in Compulsory, Showcase, and Freestyle.

Katherine Ruch, Rachael Williams-Hale, Ethan Williams-Hale, Jackson Williams-Hale, Jeff Buchannan, Renee Lacey, and all the other skaters who represented the club so well at the Louisville competition.

Kiley Clark—Placed first in Preliminary Jumps and Preliminary Freeskate at Skate Cincinnati.

Katherine Ruch—Second in Compulsory, first in Spins and Freeskate at Skate Cincinnati.

Emilie Thomas—placed 3rd at the Regional Science Fair at UK AND received a 2009 Young Achiever Award.

Caroline Capello—one of 5 girls (out of over 300) to win a dance scholarship to California this summer.

Lacey Schnitzler—the AXEL has landed!

Grace Beardsley—landing her DOUBLE SALCHOW.

Zea Wang—landing her DOUBLE FLIP and DOUBLE LUTZ ...and her double flip / double toe loop combination.

Emily Ashburn—got 2nd and 3rd place in Basic 4 (compulsory and freeskate) in Skate Cincinnati.

Eva Hodson—got first in compulsory, 2nd in showcase, and first in freeskate 2.
